Have you received that Net-a-Porter email yet? The one that promises to make you the best dressed wedding guest? Well, I have, and full-blown panic has set in!

Wedding season is around the corner, and I for one, have three weddings of different scales and in different locations this year. So, what does one wear? Spring /Summer is definitely the best season for tying the knot as there are more dress options, and you can be a bit more daring with your sartorial choices.

I have incorporated the highs of fashion this s/s 19 into some of my top picks and I shall give you all an insight as to what will make you the best dressed wedding guest this year.

Yellows, pinks of all shades, any pale greens and baby blues are all in… If you can add some embellishment and feathers, then you basically have it down to a T, for the current and latest season fashion. Let’s take a look at what is out there this season that can entice you.

Ralph and Russo

I have a countryside British wedding, one in the Malaga region of Spain and another on the south coast of UK. Each wedding caters to a different crowd and style, and so, I need three distinct dresses which cater to the different vibes.

My wedding events have me thinking…

Marchesa and Marchesa Notte are always gorgeous and pretty. I am thinking they will be perfect for the Countryside wedding.

Dolce and Gabbana are my favourite designer for fun and frivolous styles and I would love to choose one of their flamboyant designs for the Andalusian wedding.

A British wedding by the sea entails something simpler and pretty. I am thinking possibly Stella McCartney for something simple, elegant and British!

My top tips are:

A destination wedding where heat is a big factor, going slinky will ensure you keep your cool all day. Look to Ghost, Pucci, and Chloe for flowy and light dresses– and French Connection and Topshop for the affordable take on the trend.

For a black tie wedding, sticking to a midi or maxi length dress for maximum elegance is the way. You cannot go wrong with something from Dior, Victoria Beckham or Ralph & Russo if you’re looking to splash out. Do not forget, it does NOT have to be a dress – get modern with a gorgeous suit!

I know not everyone wants to spend their life time earnings on a suit for a wedding. So, if Ralph and Russo is out of the question, Zara have a similar pink tone suit, that with the correct jewellery, shoes and bag can make you that original, cool and best dressed guest!

I am thinking of going for the nude tulle Dior look for the afternoon ceremony and then changing to something more glamorous for the evening. I will share my look on the day and I hope it can be of some inspiration to other wedding guests.

The look above is far too casual for a wedding (in my opinion) but I love the skirt and want to pair something like this with the J’adior heels, I posted on Instagram, and a nude corset,. This will be my day time look for the wedding ceremony, and I will change for the evening. I cannot wait to share my own take on the nude tone ballerina vibes Dior have been doing.

Check out my finds below

This is the gorgeous blush silk organza kaftan embellished with crystals, satin duchess tear drop appliqué and devoré ostrich feathers. Ralph and Russo win with this and so will you as a guest!

This grecian gown is by Dior and is definitely the one…maybe not in white…

Let’s not forget that you’re NOT the bride!

Do not fear there are less expensive options! Check out French connection, Maje and Self portrait for favourite high street options- here is my favourite below:

This gorgeous dress mimics the look of the haute couture gowns above. By Self Portrait it is a much more affordable price and just as exciting as those in the ££££! They have so many dresses it can be hard to choose but head to their site and enjoy endless options to choose from.

There are so many ideas and styles of outfits to be worn…but remember do not out-do the bride!

Happy wedding season and reading
