The fashion edit- S/S19

Keep up to date with the latest fashion trends each month…what is hot???…LET’S FIND OUT…

This month let us look at the Prada headband. It is rather unique, tall and totally in! This large headband has become the accessory of the moment and I am looking into the different styles and sources so we can also get in on this!

The headband was on the Prada runway and became infamous as soon as the last model graced the catwalk. It is a quirky look and one that I feel may not be for everyone. This is not your typical headband for many reasons, some being; cost and prints. The pink satin option was the original headband crush but now we see some gorgeous variations, such as; the prada logo headband…this is personally my favourite or the studded ones (also very rock chic). However, I do not see every girl finding it appealing to walk around with a giant headband shouting Prada to the world. I will be excited to see how this fits and if I look totally crazy or amazing?!

The headbands are difficult to come by and are already running waiting lists. However, Harrods have some stock in store and I’m sure if you go looking for them you will have your lucky find. Always check all Prada stores…I am going to try my luck this weekend so keep posted on my Instagram to see if I find mine!

 The pink large satin headband comes priced at £170 – available at Farfetch.com now

Below is the Prada campaign with Gigi Hadid

The belt bag (yes going back to my childhood- I think I had one purchased from Disneyland)…these are not going anywhere and have taken over. These bags have been in for a while but now the chic and classic Hermes has gone in on this trend and their version is my absolute favourite! I have my own Valentino rock stud version (worn below) that I love and will be posting my pictures with my gorgeous bag and the different styles this can be worn on my instagram soon…Keep an eye out for this!

Here are some of our favourite options…

Starting with Dior, Valentino, Gucci and finally my favourite Hermes.

Beige shades (are everywhere)! I wrote about this in the new year and I guess I was right- Dior are a big fan of this, along with Burberry and of course Max Mara. One of my less extortionate favourites is this beige/camel suit dress by Zara. The designer version of this was created by tibi @£865 in comparison to Zara @£99.99. Both blazers are easy to wear and have the advantage of being dressed up or down. Dior have just released their gorgeous nude collection and there is much to pick from just check out their website!

If you’re looking for single pieces to create an outfit then these are my top picks:

In Love with this gorgeous vinyl midi skirt by Burberry (available at Net-a-porter @£590)

This is the Tibi blazer (above @£865) – very similar in style to the much cheaper version by Zara (below @£99.99)

There are so many beige pieces that this trend can be hard to be overlooked…

I still think the bag of the moment is the Dior saddle bag, with so many variations Dior are winning with their gorgeous bag! I recently purchased mine…the classic blue logo that was released many years ago by John Galliano, when I was in my early teens. I still remember seeing Paris Hilton in her element with this bag hanging from her arm…nostalgia has clearly been a hit for Dior. There are many variations and their recent catwalk in Paris showed that the Saddle is here to stay!

Here are my favourite picks;

Of course I am biased towards my gorgeous Saddle mentioned above…here I am with the beauty below…bravo Dior! The credit here has to go to John Galliano and perhaps Maria Grazia Chiuri for thinking to bring it back!

So, that keeps you up to date for the current trends… I will be updating this blog every month to keep my readers in the fashion loop…fashion forward is the way!
