Blog 3 and we are moving on to wellness

I hope everyone has been enjoying the blog series – all on things to distract yourself through this quarantine period and to keep yourselves motivated and creative!

I have become used to the routine of being at home with no work. I woke up this morning post 9am… that has pretty much never happened to me. The routine of lazing around and late starts has become quite appealing, but I still keep up with my routine at a leisurely pace. These are the perks of isolation… finding ‘Your time’*.

*Your time – doing what you want on your time – being productive but not on someone else’s watch. There is no one else controlling your pace for once.

So, whilst you are on ‘Your time’… What can you do to maximise your wellbeing and health?

Starting your day off right is key – I have discussed this non-stop in pretty much every blog! This will set you up for a more satiated day and keep you going with a positive mind. Every day is different in isolation, and although it could be much worse, it is still hard. Those who have anxiety in particular will suffer with this and so for them to wake up and keep the motivation and positivity going is key in getting through this period. I have suffered from anxiety so trust me I speak from experience.

How do I do this? How do I get up and get myself going with a workout and trying to eat as well as possible? Keep reading…

If I feel I have overindulged the night before, the best way is to start your day is with a nice cool smoothie or coffee… I have 3 recipes I will share that keep alert and are super delicious! The purpose of these juices is to give your digestive system a rest from working on fibre.

A fresh juice in the morning gives you a burst of energy and a clear mind. Here are my top 3 juice choices. I am not saying that I start every day with a juice. No, I am not into juice cleanses as a diet plan. This is just an additional good thing to add to your diet or occasionally replacement of breakfast. I believe everyone should have 3 meals and just keep them healthy. Treating yourself, from time to time, is also a huge YES!

The juices;

1. The cleanse

Ingredients;
• Spinach (handful)
• 1 carrot

2. The booster

• turmeric

3. Drink those greens

I hope these juice mixes boost your start to the day, and keep you going throughout the isolation period, to allow for the best #quarantineandchill.

Lots of love
