Hello readers, I hope you have been well! I took a break from blogging yesterday to soak up some sun. It has been lovely and warm in the UK and enjoying the sun in my garden has been a real pick-me-up. I hope the weather has been nice (wherever you are) and that you can have had the pleasure of enjoying some sunshine in these difficult times.

Today’s blog heads back to fashion and how we can keep up with this at home. I have recently been doing my hair, with simple makeup and adding some jewellery a few times a week to keep myself feeling good. I have been getting out my Spring clothes and putting away all my big knits to inspire me to get my fashion going again!

I realise that although I cannot work from home, most of you can, and you may also need to be part of conference calls for work. So, I assume you want to look good… and what better than spring florals to brighten up your day and freshen your look? Nothing, I hear you say! These bountiful blooms will brighten up your work from home look, and bring a hint of the changing season to your video conference calls or any facetime you engage in.

You can wear dresses and casual silk suits (yes, the ones that look like pjs but aren’t). A simple shirt with casual pants can even be done… no one can see your lower half through facetime! Get ‘Work ready waist up, and home buddy down below’. Essentially dressing your upper half, hair and face is enough to keep you looking presentable, but gives you that element of #quarantineandchill where no one can see!

Anything colourful can brighten up your day… Your favourite jewellery, that top you love or even the dress you cannot wear to the park now, can be worn at home! There are no rules and making yourself happy is an important part of the isolation period. It really is the smallest thing that can improve your day… and looking back at my previous blog on colourful foods… Clothing, jewellery or a lipstick shade can brighten your day. When was the last time you wore a red lip… or any shade you love??? Well, go for it tomorrow!

I hope you enjoyed the read and feel inspired to give yourself that exciting look tomorrow… Go wild!

Lots of love and happy quarantine!
