Milano
Milan is one of my favourite cities in Europe for its fashion, food and ambience. I enjoy the relaxed chic vibes that run through this city, almost like there no time constraint.
Many often say “Milan has nothing to do” but aside from MFW, I enjoy just roaming and viewing their incredible stock of beautiful goodies. The sight of the Duomo is also something that never gets tiring. There is plenty of culture and art in this wonderful city from Leonardo Da Vinci to Michelangelo!
If you love to shop or even just enjoy looking at beautiful things Milan allows you to do this at its best. I mean have you seen the Emmanuel Vittorio (breath taking) this has to be the grandest most majestic shopping parade in this world! It truly is.
There is the grand shopping parade behind me.
I have visited Milan three times bow over the past two years. I first went over for a bachelorette weekend (I know not the usual location) and since then I have been heading back for short weekend trips.
My favourite and go to hotel had been the Excelsior. They are truly hospital and the hotel has everything you need. It is located a little further out but it is still walking distance to the main attractions. I highly recommend…Plus you may bump into a super model during MFW…bonus!
This time I stayed at the NH president in Central Milano and I have to say being so close to the Duomo was a huge bonus. I loved this hotel for its location, comfort and the view of our room of the beautiful Duomo. Another truly fantastic and recommended hotel in Milano that is more central and still has all the comforts!
There is also a hidden gem I must discuss that is probably my favourite part of visiting Milan and that is ‘La Briciola’ restaurant (again visited often by celebrities and Milan’s own Chiara Ferragni). However, despite this, the prices are reasonable and the decor is so unique and flamboyant! If you love walking into a room glistening from all the hanging lights that cover the ceiling then this is the place for you…it is a Milanese treasure!
