The festive season is upon us and I just love this time of the year. It is full of joy, laughter and parties…so it is time to get your outfits ready… I have tried to make this easy by picking by favourites.

I love gold, red and silver tones- anything with sequins to give it that glamorous festive feel. It is the party season and if it does not sparkle then I do not see the point.

So, I have tried and tested both high street and designer options…and here they are…

1. Zara – this one dress has caught my eye from the day I saw it on their site – It is gorgeous and oozes Saint Laurent vibes for a fraction of the cost. It has shoulder pads that give the dress the perfect structure… A high street treasure!

2. Dolce and Gabbana – always perfectly glitzy – I love this skirt from Yoox.com it is the perfect party piece…yes it does come at a cost but it is beautiful. The colour gold is one that shouts festive cheer and glamour.

3. French Connection- have some incredible pieces in the mid-range perfect for Christmas and New Year’s Eve – here are my top picks.

This gorgeous floor length could handle itself against an expensive designer dress and shows glamour with some sex appeal. I am a big fan of this one.

Red and gold screams festive party season…you cannot go wrong with this gorgeous piece – again a great match for some of the more (extremely) expensive designer options out there.

4. This Balmain dress… I love it! It looks even better on and it is created in my favourite velvet material. A show stopper for this festive season.
