Brunch in the city
NAC Their Dulche de Leche ricotta pancakes are the one, and covered with bananas to make you feel better about your choice…
Cookies…Yes, they have these too…covered with ice cream and Frosties. This is indulgence at its best…Reminiscient of childhood joy!
The sweet part of their menu wins and is something that should be tasted!
Their service though could be improved…
The WOLSELEY is one of my favourite places in London and their pancakes are indulgent, delicious and perfectly stacked to make your mouth water. This staple restaurant has been a great breakfast location for years. Now, also at Bicester village. The perfect breakfast spot before you hit the stores. They serve the perfect smoked salmon and scrambled eggs combination to hit the savoury spot. Definitely one of my favourite breakfast places in London!
ELAN café has taken over the London Instagram scene…with many new locations popping up to serve their delicious pastries and cakes that are perfectly decorated. They do hot breakfasts and I love the omelette option…you must try this. Different locations do serve different menus – Their Selfridges branch have a limited hot option menu. They also do some of the most interesting coffees that London offers – check out their ‘Lucky charms latte’. All branches do their perfect croissants that come in green (pistachio), red (raspberry) and brown (chocolate). These are my favourite picks from Elan…I am a croissant fiend!
BERNERS tavern was such an enjoyable experience from the impeccable service to the phenomenal breakfast. Their hot breakfast was perfect with an addition of waffles to finish off your indulgent start to the day. I always seem to have smoked salmon, avocado and scrambled eggs but at Berners Tavern I particularly enjoyed this certain breakfast dish due to the high quality of produce on my plate. It was certainly top notch!
CLARIDGE’S Hotel serves many options for breakfast. We decided to go for the indulgent set menu breakfast that comes with practically everything (yes, it is costly but was totally worth it- especially for a special occasion). Eat until your heart is content…from pastries, to fruit and a hot breakfast of your choice…be as healthy or unhealthy as you wish 😉
HARRODS tea room serve you in a gorgeous setting (currently being renovated) and their delicious breakfast compliments the surroundings. They serve their infamous personalised ‘H’ (for Harrods) sourdough loaf accompanied by truffle butter…my dream! You can have normal butter if not a truffle fan.
The breakfast was very enjoyable, and service was as should be. The best part is their amazing pain au chocolat… I cannot even begin to tell you how perfect it is so here is a picture…
DALLOWAY Terrace is the prettiest hideaway for breakfast set with the scene of the Mrs Dalloway novel, by Virginia Woolf, in mind. A beautiful terrace covered with flowers… the perfect way to start your day. Their breakfast pastries were divine and the breakfast that followed was also to the same high standard. Definitely an ‘instagrammable’ location too.
LADUREE my go to breakfast place…it’s French what more is there to say…pastry everywhere! I love Laduree it is just familiar and like a home away from home…everything is always tasty and set out in pretty ‘poudre pink’, baby blue or ‘Tiffany green’ plates. I just wish they did a larger coffee… I have to order at least two to get me started in the morning.
CHILTERN Firehouse pancakes, pancakes and more pancakes… Yes, they do some of the best pancakes around – the perfect ratio of light to fluffy they must be tried! Truly mouth-watering as I reminiscence whilst writing this. They have an amazing lobster benedict that does come at a price but is made to perfection!
THOMAS’ café by Burberry hidden within the Burberry store on London’s Regent Street this gorgeous two floor townhouse like restaurant is perfect for a quiet and delectable breakfast. The servings are aesthetically pleasing true to Burberry form their breakfast is super chic!
MURIEL’S kitchen is so scrumptious and very reasonably priced…good quality wholesome food that comes with the so much flavour. I fell in love with this easy-going restaurant for simply providing a good breakfast without the fuss. Their breakfast with the halloumi cheese is an all time favourite. There are a few locations around London.
BRASSERIE of light set in one of my favourite stores in the world (Selfridges, London) stuns with its decor featuring London’s largest scale artwork by Damien Hurst. If you do not go for the breakfast then go for this reason…it is breathtaking! The breakfast is perfect and the views of Duke street from the large scale window will keep you happy throughout your morning meal. We had the vegetarian option and there was a menu full of the best breakfast picks…The picture I have added below speaks for itself…so check this place out for sure!
RALPH’S is last but not least…hidden within the Ralph Lauren store on London’s Regents Street it is perfect for a quick break from shopping and perfect for a breakfast meeting. They have a simple menu that is comprised of all you will ever need…delicious! I have had their scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and avocado toast and it was the perfect breakfast. I am currently on a sugar ban so will be back for their sweet breakfasts…they are on my list!
There are so many amazing breakfast and brunch places in London that it is impossible to add them all…a few of my other favourites are Sketch, The Dorchester (promenade), The Ivy, Le Pain quotidien and Aubaine.
