I recently travelled to Milan from London and whilst at Heathrow Terminal 5 I came across the Evelyne poche in Gris etain.

She was gorgeous and had just come in… I just had to try her on to know she was sold to moi! I also got her at duty free price…So I made a saving too!

I had two lovely SA help me with the purchase and they also gave me some gorgeous samples of perfume. I absolutely love the ‘Twilly’ Hermes perfume I think it’s a perfect daytime scent and the sample are always very useful to throw into different bags and have at hand throughout the day. This time I got the lovely ‘Rose ikebana’ and ‘Ambre narguile’.

The lovely SA (I wish I took their names) guided me to see different straps for the Evelyne…I had no idea about this…you can alter the straps… A perk Hermes does with the Evelyne.

I had to ask about the Gris material strap because I always get sceptical of buying any lighter coloured bags due to marks on the leather and of course the material strap (not leather)getting destroyed by next year…

you may spend a lot on these bags but unfortunately ‘wear and tear’ is not something you can always get away with…good care is key!

The bag is medium in size, Clemence leather so more hardwearing. Advice given by the SA was to be careful with water and perfume. I wrote in an earlier blog about Chanel bags andthe different leather durability… well Hermes have the same thing and fortunately this is one of the more harder wearing leathers!

Here she is being wrapped up…

And here she is unboxed.
