So, Quel est ton pantalon préfère?

CARGO PANTS are everywhere…yes they are!  So, where can we find this crucial pantalon and how do we put the look together?

‘Utility’ has been the look of the season. A non chalant style that has been revamped to give the wow factor. There are so many different options of this look and if you have been shopping, you would have seen that cargo pants/combat trousers are everywhere!

Zara will do this well (for less) and they have silk, cotton and linen options to account for different looks. Their shop floors are filled with this ‘utility’ look that was seen on runways for Fendi, Dries Van Noten, Balmain and even Hermes.

I know it seems like a major flash back Friday thinking of cargo pants…but no, no…these pants have had an upgrade! You can turn them into a daytime look or evening chic if you take my advice below.

For the daytime look team your pants with a cute t-shirt tucked in and boots or trainers to keep it simple chic.

Upgrade to evening with heels/heeled boots and a shirt or low cut blazer tucked in and it is done!

Here are my top picks below;

This ZARA silk cargo pant is perfect for an evening look (as noted above with a tucked in white shirt) – this look is perfect for a casual/chic dinner or catch up with friends.

Available online at Zara.com £39.99

(available in black)

Ralph and Russo do a more luxurious version of this trouser available at NET-A-PORTER priced at £1,090 available online now.

Haider Ackerman do a gorgeous version seen also on NET-A-PORTER as one of their ‘seasonal picks’ priced at £795.  They pair it with a cute off shoulder top and strappy shoes. I am in love!

CYCLE SHORTS are not going anywhere… they are still all over Instagram and people are loving this style as seen on the Chanel catwalk. Now, you need to feel brave to wear this style as these shorts put everything on show. I bought a simple pair and they stick like nothing else. However, this can be overcome by the top you choose to wear, as it can be longer to cover as much as you would like. These shorts are usually teamed with a jumper, t shirt and chunky trainers, and I do love this casual look. The shorts can even be dressed up with heels and a loose fitted long shirt or blazer.

If you cannot go as far as purchasing the entire Chanel ensemble, then there are so many picks out there. The shorts come at £15.99 from Zara and Topshop do them for as little as £10.00! Have a look out there as this is a simple purchase that needs to be built with your top choice and accessories.

NEW TAILORING – this is my favourite trouser right now. It is super flattering and looks good for every occasion. My biggest tip is bring your outfit together with your bag and shoes…accessories are what change an outfit from ok to okayyyyyy… Team them up with a shirt or t shirt as above. A blazer tucked in can look gorgeous too.

These tailored pants are easy to find and you can look in stores such as Reiss, Zara and Fenwicks that have a range of designers to pick from. Make sure to try before you buy…as different tailoring suits different body shapes.

Below is my look with these tailored pants by Zara still online at just £29.99. I teamed my look with Valentino accessories. Remember the tip is to accessorise well!

Givenchy have killed this style below…so elegant and chic and can be mimicked easily!

Did you see the recent Louis Vuitton cruise collection 2020??? It was everything!

Nicolas Ghesquiere teamed tailored pants with cropped tops/jackets/short capes and it looked insatiable! Their celeb filled attendance on the red carpet was full of these tailored pants in different materials and styles. Have a look on the LV website for further inspiration!

My favourite look is the one below… Magic!

Louis Vuitton have shown this style os going to be around in 2020 so get your pant-look ready!

FRONT SPLIT trousers have been trending for a while and I did mention these in a previous blog. A style created and made infamous by Victoria Beckham (love her!) at £575. I found very similar styles at just £19.99 from Zara and even Reiss have a more tailored front split trouser at £115 on the website now.

Hope that sets your trouser trend this season!
